BALDOCK LOCKDOWN PHOTO COMPETITION
Baldock Households and Baldock Community

1st PRIZE - £30

2nd PRIZE - £20

3rd PRIZE - £10

An overall winner from either category - £30.

The start of 2020 has certainly been without precedent. The arrival of Coronavirus COVID-19 in January or February (depending on who you believe) has resulted in massive changes to society, socially, economically, politically and medically as we have done our best to cope with what has become a worldwide pandemic. While much focus has, quite rightly, been nationally and regionally in our country, the Baldock Community Forum CIC (aka Baldock Events Forum) felt that we should pay tribute to the community of Baldock and record what has been going on in the town during these unsettling times.

We are, therefore, inaugurating the first (and hopefully last) ‘Baldock in Lockdown’ event. This is a photographic competition designed to show what the town has been up to during the ‘Lockdown’ period.

There are two categories:

Baldock Households
Photographs of members of your household, generally in the home, or garden.

Baldock Community
Photographs of the wider community of Baldock (not in your home, or garden…)

Competition rules
  • Any amateur photographer living in Baldock can submit up to five photographs for each category.
  • No person can win more than one prize in each category, unless they are the overall category winner.
  • Photographs must be submitted in digital form and by email

At the end of the competition, we will be able to mount an exhibition in Baldock, which will show a moment in time of the town’s history.
All of the photos will be made available to the Baldock Museum.

We hope that you will support this enterprise, so get your cameras/mobile phones out and start snapping!
